When you wake up, take with water on an empty stomach at least 30 minutes before eating
Swallow ICOTYDE pills whole. Do not crush, split, or chew ICOTYDE pills.
If you cannot swallow ICOTYDE pills whole:
- Put ICOTYDE in a cup with at least 4 ounces of water in it
- Wait a few minutes until the pill breaks up and spreads out. The pill may not completely disperse
- Gently swirl the cup before drinking it
- Refill the cup with another 4 ounces of water to make sure you get the full dose
Drink the whole cup within 15 minutes.

If you miss a dose of ICOTYDE, take the dose as soon as you remember and go back to your regular schedule the next day.
Caffeine does not change how ICOTYDE is absorbed.
