ICOTYDE is the first & only interleukin-23 receptor (IL-23R) targeted oral peptide in a once-daily pill. In plaque psoriasis, IL-23 is a protein that plays a key role in inflammation. When IL-23 binds with its receptor, inflammation can occur in the body. ICOTYDE targets the IL-23 receptor, which blocks IL-23 from binding. This prevents the release of inflammatory proteins.
